There are a handful of things to do in Punta Mita that combine both luxury and local experiences. When you come to Punta Mita, it will be like vacationing on your own island, as the Punta Mita Peninsula stretches over 1,500 acres and extends into the Pacific Ocean.


 NAEF restaurant has an interior patio with a private and cozy garden, where you can sit in the shade or sun and enjoy a picturesque meal. Head to Las Redes Avenue to find a dozen adorable stores filled with indigenous Huichol fabrics and boho-chic beachwear. Make sure to stop by and check out Sea & Salt Beachstore, Mexican Soul, Sacred Heart, Niña Catrina, R2 Fashion, Mita Mita and one of my favorites: Mar de Sueños. You can also find more stores in the exclusive Plaza Ollin shopping center on this street.

There are plenty of things to do in Punta Mita that will keep your adventurous soul busy or provide another excuse to put your feet up and relax. Las Redes Avenue is one of the best shopping streets in Punta Mita and walking around here is easily one of the best things to do in Punta Mita. In addition to relaxing on sandy beaches and admiring the natural beauty of this 1,500-acre peninsula, you can explore hidden coves, sail, watch whales and dolphins, or surf, dive, snorkel and swim.  If you're an intermediate or more advanced surfer, this is one of the best breaks in the area, as the city's main beach, Playa Punta Mita, tends to have much smaller waves, shallow waters and good low tide conditions, perfect for beginners.

One of the best things to do in Punta Mita is to escape to the hidden beach of Playa La Lancha and go surfing. Punta Mita is a large peninsula in Nayarit, Mexico, which marks the northern part of Banderas Bay overlooking the Pacific Ocean with the Sierra Madre Mountains behind it.
