Why Is Punta Mita So Expensive?

Punta Mita is a very expensive place, I don't recommend you stay unless you have a car, since transportation is very expensive. The beach of Punta Mita (El Anclote) is not very nice, it has a lot of rocks, it is mainly a place to go to restaurants, not to spend the day at the beach, unless you stay in a very high-end hotel with its own beach.

Why Is Punta Mita So Expensive?

Punta Mita is a very expensive place, I don't recommend you stay unless you have a car, since transportation is very expensive. The beach of Punta Mita (El Anclote) is not very nice, it has a lot of rocks, it is mainly a place to go to restaurants, not to spend the day at the beach, unless you stay in a very high-end hotel with its own beach. It's not a good place to walk,  However, near Punta Mita there is a beach called Careyeros, very nice and quiet.

There are hotels and restaurants where you can stay. Last month, the club organized the first Punta Mita Carnival, a new annual tradition that celebrates the colors, culture and history of Mexico with a golf cart parade, a masquerade ball and a beach party for the whole family. Its western, southern and eastern borders are surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, and it is entered from the north end by the La Punta and Federal La Cruz de Huanacaxtle - Punta de Mita highways. Villas and developments in Punta Mita that have been converted into vacation homes for the richest extended families and a handful of tech billionaires.
